My third stone: Sensing

Today, I am asked to consider the senses beyond the visual, what do I hear, taste, smell, feel?

harp thrum-notes of e-reader
waking to the day
counterpoint of clock
tick-talking in time

a crisp mint taste of January air
thick ozone snow-scent,
snow-sent, freezes nostrils and
eyelashes — they glisten in noonday sun

seeking each other’s warmth
fingers curl into palms
